The Aqualink story · Owlinks Technologies

For the land.
For the people
who care for it.

Irrigation shouldn't ask a farmer to be everywhere at once.

Aqualink brings remote equipment control together with a gateway architecture and mobile applications built around the installation.

Our starting point

The field comes first.

Technology should follow.
01 /
The everyday problem

A pump is in the field.
A farmer has a life.

Starting a pump, opening a valve, checking a reservoir. Small tasks become repeated trips when the controls are far away.

Distance adds up

Each trip means time away from other work and another journey to the installation.

Connectivity isn't a given

Wi-Fi and mobile data can't be assumed at a rural pump. The system needs to fit the available network.

Every farm is different

Solar inverters, grid pumps, reservoirs, and valve layouts need different hardware decisions.

The practical solution · Available hardware

One phone.
A closer connection.

Aqualink controllers receive commands over SMS. A farmer can operate compatible irrigation equipment without Wi-Fi or mobile data at the controller.

Hardware that meets the installation

  • PC3.5 / PC3.5LStandard pump control, with reservoir level supervision on PC3.5L.
  • IC485Direct control through a compatible solar pump inverter.
  • VCM3/7 + VCS3/7Centralized electric valve control, with extensions for more zones.

Requires GSM coverage, a compatible SIM and SMS service, correct wiring, and compatible equipment. Valve installations require the appropriate electrical supply.

The system · Documented architecture

From the controller
to the application.

The Aqualink development project brings together equipment controllers, a gateway, and mobile applications. Each component has a defined role.

01

Pumps & inverters

Pump controllers communicate over RS485. The IC485 inverter controller supports compatible INVT and Veichi drives through Modbus RTU.

02

Wired & wireless valves

The wired valve controller uses OBUS on RS485. The VDrive motorized actuator communicates with the gateway over LoRa at 868 MHz.

03

SmartAgriGateway

The gateway connects equipment buses to SMS, Wi-Fi, and cloud communication. Its local rules check linked valve states before accepting a pump start command.

04

My Aqualink Online

The mobile application architecture uses local storage and device templates, with SMS, Wi-Fi, and cloud communication paths.

Architecture in development

The simulator covers a defined part of the gateway firmware. It models pump interlocks and command replies, with local simulated device feedback. It is not a connected installation.
